Many of you weren't members when we published Meagan's story. You will benefit from it. If you've read it before, worth visiting again.

Meagan is a young, 40 year old, woman with a young daughter. She faced sudden liver failure in 2016 which very nearly killed her. She is much improved but deals with many of the challenges common to liver disease patients.

Thank you. I had not read this before. Wow! What she went through. I just lost an old work friend to the disease. Found out today, I don't know her story. Only that when we worked together, test showed "spots" on her liver. Then she transfered and I retired and lost touch. She was just 63, so sad.

Thank you for sharing this I remember going for a fibroScan and the technician asked me when was my last drink. I’ve never drank ever!! When I tell people about my liver disease they all assume it’s from alcohol abuse so I find myself educating them. My pcp even said to me it’s not that bad and I said until it is!!! My dermatologist had no idea how bad fatty liver are he said when he was in medical school he was taught it was no big deal. I explained to him how that thinking has killed people . He actually seemed interested and said he would investigate it further. My cardiologist told me fatty liver was nothing to worry about she said my mom has it . Well now mom has cirrhosis and needs treatment. I admire Megan for her strength to tell her story and give hope to others.

My Doctor said the same thing to me. I told him that he may have seen so many cases until he is desensitized by it but he must remember that people hearing this type of news get freaked out. Nothing simple about this. I pray that this get better for you.

She and her story are truly priceless. Diagnosed around the same time (2015) it was like rereading a diary.

The courage, presence of mind and the ability to make herself understood with just the right words is more than admirable and something we should all aspire to.

For me; I find those like you, Meagan and many others awe inspiring. Thank You.
