If you donate blood, your iron should go down. I read an article that said women who are in menopause should donate blood to keep iron levels down.

Too much iron is a form of hemochromatosis

You can not legally donate blood if you have too much iron- they can not use it but your Dr. can order you to be bled if your iron level is so high that is the only way to get it down.
