Had three periods of 48 hour fasting before Christmas. After a lot of celebrations that ran on into January, I felt ready to a 60 hour fast this week. Feel great, less inflammed. I had some bone broth, herbal tea, filtered water and coffee/tea with cream, so not a purist This seems to suit me
All the best

Hello Hopalong1 I'm impressed with anyone who can fast for 48 hours so a 60 hour fast seems incredible so good luck and take care. As for being purist if it works for you...😊
Excellent. Good luck with it. I felt I could have managed to tea(72 hours) but had it in mind to stop. On my last 48 before Christmas I was developing a cold and thought it was hunger, agonising really. This last fast was a lot more positive. I adapted Joseph Mercola's bone broth from Fat is Fuel recipe book. Everyday another lesson
This is very inspiring do you keep any sort of a diary of mood/symptoms on your longer fasts?
I also wanted to say re being a purist/not a purist, that coffee with cream matches the macro (balance of fats/carbs/proteins) amounts of a Fast Mimicking Diet, so will absolutely yield the significant health benefits. I imagine the bone broth is similar.
I'm happy to post more about FMDs if you are interested, but I didn't want to spam your thread
Would be interested in FMD, thank you. Could dance for four hours on Saturday, that was an improvement for my knees. Only log on to the Daily Diary, will think about mood etc next fast.
