Hi, just noticed my target this week is 25,000 steps. My wristband says I’ve done 29,544 so far. EXI reckons it’s only a few thousand. It’s because it reads my phone not my wristband.
Q1: (probably for women) how do you carry your phone on you to record steps when few clothes have pockets?
Q2: at this time of year, I do quite a bit of strenuous stuff as part of my normal day: gardening, spring cleaning etc. is it ok to just put it under ‘other activities’?

To answer: If you. have a step goal on your EXI program/prescription, you will see the total target of weekly steps
However your weekly total is broken out by day (divided by the number of days that week we recommend you are active) and capped to ensure you're not trying to do your whole week's activity in one go. This is to encourage gradual change over time and consistency in your activity.
If you go to your daily progress you'll see the daily target - once you go beyond this your steps will still be tracked for that day but won't go towards your weekly step goal because you've already hit that day's target!
I hope that explains it! Let me know if it isn't making sense
And to answer your Second question - absolutely! Other Physical Activity is for exactly that kind of thing - that doesn't fit into the other boxes. If you're feeling that you're getting a workout - feeling your heart rate is a bit elevated etc then it all counts!
