I am trying to ease up in my food intake and choices the past two weeks. However my partner has been through recent surgery for lung cancer so it’s been a difficult hectic unstable time. I am trying to choose healthy choices when I can and taking a moderate amount of movement and walking despite suffering from chronic fatigue.

I am continuing on the right path and think I’ve lost a couple of pounds ? I am weighing myself weekly just to keep a record. But not governing myself by weighing in all the time just like to judge by my clothes feeing better and loser.

I think that you are taking a sensible approach!

Life is extremely difficult when you are having to visit loved ones in hospital - it often feels impossible to eat regularly and sensibly at these times. If like me, you are a comfort eater, the stress of your partners diagnosis and treatment is likely to be a trigger. Take some “you time”, it’s allowed 😊. You need to remain well in order to support your partner.

Good Luck and I hope that your partner makes a speedy recovery x
