12 yr old girl /ongoing Bowel issues

My 12 yr old has been having bowel issues for years. When we go through disimpaction and then bring her down to a sachet a day, we stay on that but she is having little leakages when she thinks its wind, she will always be able to do a BM after the accident so this tells me she is not constipated and it allways loose and not gritty like constipated poo. This would indicate to me that we could reduce it further however in the past even on one sachet a day she has become constipated and we have had to go through the whole disimpaction routine again which is really upsetting for her in secondary school. Any thoughts ? The consultant hasn't done any internal exams but has said she may have a bit of IBS.

How quickly are you reducing the sachets? Join Movicol Mummy's on Facebook it's a fantastic group.
