Disimpaction...sweetcorn passed in 6 hours

Hello, currently on day 13 of disimpaction. The runny poos have been coming for 7 days now, extremely runny with food bits in them but never water-like, always brown and gravy-like. However, today I could see quite a lot of the bits from her 1pm lunch passing at her 8pm poo. And she's been having terrible runny accidents ALL afternoon every 20 mins or so, literally unable to keep it all in.Are we done?! I don't think rusty water is ever going to come for us honestly.

As per NICE guidelines, disimpaction is complete when 2 consecutive brown bitty watery stools have been passed. These should be fairly large in volume to ensure the backlog has been cleared. At day 14, it is recommended to speak to your health care professional to discuss introducing a stimulant laxative to help you reach that final stage.

Hi, it sounds like you're there as per sweetcorn test. Have you been using senna syrup too, and if so how much? Were on day 15, liquid poo with some slightly thicker liquid - just been prescribed 2.5ml senna syrup by prescribing paramedic (couldn't get hold of GP) but I'm not sure if that's the right amount...

Hi there, thank you for sharing. My 2y 9m old son is at similar stage. 14 days into disimpaction. He is now quite regular in passing big mushy poos maybe twice a day but not reached anything that looks like brown water with bits. Did the senna work for your child? We also have been prescribed at that dose and will probably try on Wednesday.
