My daughter is 4 years old and has been struggling with her poo for about a year now its getting to the point now that's she is holding her poo in because she is scared of having one because it hurts she has been having 2 sachets of mavicol a day for the past 5 days and it has not worked its been about 11 days without having a poo, she is getting really stressed and saying her tummy hurts ive even had to go and pick her up from school on her first day back . I just do not know what todo.

Hi it sounds like you need to do disimpaction if she's not pooed for 11 days which means taking the large amount of sachets needed to unblock her (See the leaflet for disimpaction regime). The sooner the better which may mean time off school unfortunately. Then once she's unblocked, keep her on 1 or 2 sachets a day to keep things moving. You could also try fibre gummies and fig biscuits and getting her to sit on toilet after meals to establish a poo routine x
Thank you took her to the walk in center as couldn't get into the doctors till Wednesday they give me glycerin suppositories not very nice but soon as I did it she went pretty but 5 mins after.
