My daughter has toddler diarrhoea. According to nhs This can last til a child is 5. She only lasted a day in school before being sent home. ( it was in her shoes and everything!)
So now she’s at home. Anyone else with toddler diarrhoea?

Hi yes, my son who is 4 has just started school and has had poo accidents on 3 days out of 6. We are trying desperately to improve things via his diet (reducing fruit, fibre and sugar) but with school dinners we have little control and no knowledge of what he has actually eaten. So I can’t help ... but I can offer my sincere empathy. I’m finding it really stressful.
Even if he makes it to the loo he can’t clean his bottom very well - and I’ve had to repeatedly ask that he is assisted.
Our daughter got sent home last Tuesday and told to return 48 hours after last symptom. But that might be may next year! She can’t just miss a year of school. I don’t know what to do.
Then the older one is even worse ( aged 7 next month) wets all day every day and the poo! She’s in school but just sits in poo all day.
We were told our son had toddler diarrhoea for about 4 years! It wasn't it was overflow and now we're paying for the consequences!
