Hi she's had problems since 6 months old. Constantly having battles with her over this. She usually goes every 12-16 days. We have been given lactulose and movicol. We just manage to get the lactulose down her. Movicol is an absolute nightmare. I never seen her liupset like this before. Usually she goes running off and she push. Push. Etc.. But she complaining so much hurts. Belly. Legs. Feet. We can't get her on toilet. She's screaming all time. We did bribe her her a few times it hasn't worked. Also told her she have to go hospital she was so frightened. But still no joy.

I doubt if she'll do this either but you could try children's glycerol suppositories that you can buy in the chemist

My 3 year old is very stubborn too. But glycerin suppositories work every time. She does not like it at all o obviously, but that pushes her to go by herself and not withhold.

Have you tried mixing Miralax (same as movicol but tasteless AND clear!!) it can be mixed into vitamin drinks (Gatorade/Powerade/Vitamin Water/lemonade etc)and serve ice cold!! My boy drinks one each day. Just find whatever drink they LOVE and mix it up! There is no texture or flavor or color. That will soften the poo. As for getting. The urge to push it out, try senna. Ask Ped for dosing.

Doesn’t need to be vitamin drink!! Basically ANY drink including water. Just make sure to serve cold. Does she drink enough?? We really had to work on that!

Amazon.com and fishpond.co.uk are two places to find it ... it’s OTC...important to find a drink she likes. We struggled with this same issue for years and tried so many types and flavored drinks. He likes to drink vitamin drinks so it works out very nicely now.

(****Also, we DO NOT tell him it’s medicine in his drink, it works for us ) I hope this works for you as well!! Make sure to shake it up, let it dissolve, few minutes and good to drink!🤗

Nothing is working.. My eldest had the same issue. His was actually moldy. That's what his scan showed. I really don't want my little girl going through. Suppositories. Enemas. Etc.. She is now just screaming she in pain. She stopped pushing altogether now. I keep saying we end up going hospital. Nothing has worked

also struggling with a 5 year old who won't take his medication. We found taking him to choose the juice he wants helps. Also agree, we never tell him it's medicine, even if he's asks. We've found lemon and lime is a good one. He never seems to notice it when he chooses that drink. We also have a reward chart in place to get more fluid into him. Good luck

Hi we use a syringe for senna hot chocolate and lemonade or orange juice for movlcoil.if your lg in pain I would take her back to your peads as over three days withheld can lead to septis if left untreated. We were told that in our hospital.
