I have had epilepsy for 44 years... There are many triggers... Depression, anxiety, stress, flashing lights, lack of sleep and so many more... Feel free to communicate further should you wish to... Epilepsy can also be diagnosed at any age and hormones play a big part! Keep positive if possible.
Thank you kindly for your response .I was diagnosed from age 12 .35 years that I have epilepsy but with age sadly it has become unbearable .Cant work .drive has when I started having epiepsy it was grand mal now and again till controlled with medication .But last year April had to have my womb, ovaries ,+cervix removed.Since then I have had daily petit mals more than 1 a day added to the deafness eyesight and hearing that worsened.Life under these conditions become unbearably difficult to be positive or learn to have a normal happy life especially with the bipolar and on medication for all the above
I fully understand. I had a seizure whilst driving at 17 and gave up driving. I am now 60. I have also had a full hysterectomy due to decision of not having children cos of epilepsy symptoms etc. I have a major 35 minute tonic clonic seizure every few months - so far 4 months free, but it's due to happen soon. Try and keep your chin up and am here for support when needed.
Thank you very much i will definitely keep this in mind as my family dont understand me rather call me mental and not a friend to my name.Epilepsy and bipolarare like the plague to people
