Hi.

I'm a 41year old female living with epilepsy from age 2. It has not deterred me from achieving my goals and achievements

I am only having problem obtaining insurance. I have applied to Discovery and Liberty for disability cover and have been turned down by both .I was told last month by Liberty that it was because of Epilepsy , yet I have been on medication all my life and still am.I also have regular check ups at the neurologist.

I feel that this is very unfair and discriminatory as nobody should be turned down because of their life long illness.

This has not suddenly just happened !

Is this not wrong ? What happens if I get sick and disabled due to some other illness. How can I take care of myself.

Please assist

Distressed !
