Double vision

I have recently been suffering from double vision shortly after taking my medication, since having surgery on my stomach. Has anyone else suffered from this problem also.

Hi Darren, my wife has refractory epilepsy and she's been on high levels of medication most of her life. In the past we've had issues with double vision but usually this has been caused by various medications, Tegretol Prolonged release is a classic one but her consultant reduced it slightly by 200mg an the double vision disappeared. I'm not sure how surgery on your stomach could cause double vision unless you've change either epilepsy drugs or dosages since surgery or maybe you've added another drug that interacts with AED's? I hope you soon get it sorted Darren.

Thanks for the info. I am still waiting for a response from my consultant, but because of the Corona virus it has been slow. My medication was increased a couple of months before the surgery but I didn't experience the side effects until after the surgery. Basically I wanted to know if the reduction in stomach size could have any effect.
