I woke up from my sleep last night and felt very sick. I tried to get to the bathroom but couldn't keep my balance and fell over. I managed to get up and that's the last I remember as I fell backwards into the shower where my husband found me. He said I was unresponsive so he helped me to a sitting position and he said I was making snorting noises and passing wind. When I came round it was like from a fainting episode, not aware of where I was or what was happening. I felt very sick, was sweating and then was sick and continued to feel sick for a good few hours. Today I just feel a bit weird, tired and buzzy ears. I had another attack like this a few years ago and it was decided that I had neurogenic syncope. That was different in that I wet myself, no nausea feeling etc and I had tried a tens machine immediately prior to the attack.Do you think I should be concerned or can you just have a faint when waking up from your sleep. Any advice appreciated

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear about this funny turn. It sounds like your husband did the right thing by supporting you and keeping information about what happened. It could be a good idea to contact a medical professional and ask for some support. You could also speak to a member of our team on 0808 800 5050. We would be happy to talk about this a little more and offer some further advice.
