Blood oxygen

Hi. I don't know whether to be freaked out or not. I have a Samsung watch (had it since Xmas) that has a pulse oximeter monitoring my blood oxygen levels while I sleep. Most nights my oxygen has stayed above 90%. On a couple of occasions it has went under 90% for about 12 seconds which I am not phased about. But last week it was 4.5 minutes. Last night it was 14.5 minutes! Anyone had this? I have been feeling really confused and agitated today. Also headaches. Wondering if it is linked. Kathryn

Hi there, It's understandable you have questions about what you've noticed and I hope you hear from others here.

I'm not sure from your message if you think this might be connected to epilepsy. But it could be worth checking out what you've noticed with your doctor.

I'm also linking you to our information about sleep and epilepsy which you may find helpful to read: epilepsy.org.uk/info/health...

Thank you for that link 😊 I am going to phone my GP and see what they say. I've got a funny feeling they will just say wait for my neurology appointment.... which was moved from June 2022 to October 2022 just this morning. They don't seem to want to make any decisions until I've seen neurology. And it's getting further and further away. Thank you again though.
