Hi everyone, I am pregnant in 26 weeks and I had an epileptic attac while sleeping for the first time by night. I have epilepsie for 22 years but never had night attac.

I am in Nederland and they are treating me with Lamotrigine . I wonder for the effect for the baby. Someone had experience with? I feel also less libido and head pain....

Hi Jasmine

Here is our information about taking lamotrigine during pregnancy: epilepsy.org.uk/info/daily-.... On a low dose there is a low risk of effect on your baby.

It is very important that you have the best seizure control as having a seizure during pregnancy is also a risk.

Here is all our information on epilepsy and having a baby: epilepsy.org.uk/info/daily-...

And here is the information on the possible side-effects of lamotrigine: bnf.nice.org.uk/drug/lamotr...

I do hope that's useful for you.
