Hi Huggybear123

People with epilepsy are not automatically entitled to bed padding or other equipment.

Depending on your circumstances, you might be able to get equipment free of charge, or get help with the cost. We would suggest talking to your GP, community nurse, epilepsy nurse, or epilepsy specialist.

Also some people may be able to get free equipment from their local social services. To see if you are eligible for free equipment ask your local authority for a needs assessment. A carer, friend, family member or your GP can also ask for a needs assessment for you.

Carers UK has more information about needs assessments.
