Hi I've been on Epillim 250mgs for Epilepsy for nearly 4 years now,I had started to try out a new medication Lamotrigine,was taking it every other day and hasn't even been a week,have felt dreadful on it-feeling Violently Sick,Pounding headaches,loss ofor Co ordination,Tiredness and weakness. I've now decided not to continue with the Limotrigen and carry on with the Epillim,as my body is fine on epillim except stupid weight gain but beggars can't be choosers.

Hi Debs3011, not sure if this will be of any help to you, but I felt exactly the same as you in the beginning, and was so tired during the day but when it came to getting into bed suddenly I was wide awake 😡, but I'm pleased to say that I am now up to 100 mg a day and over time my side effects have decreased, but good luck with any future decisions and I hope you feel better soon x

I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2014 and was put on lamotrigine. When I started taking it all kinds of crazy was happening... muscle ache, lucid dreaming, tired, wide awake at night. I started out on 25mg.. it took me a bit to get used to it but all that stuff is gone now. I’m at 200mg twice a day now. I also take Keppra so that still makes me tired...

didn't do me any good too debs,keppra is better for me also but does make me tired and sometimes sleep all day!

I didn’t have any side effects but being on 75mg Of Lamitrogine Daily did not stop me having a grand mal seizure last Tuesday only 3 months since last. Good luck!

Interesting as I take lamotrogene and epilim 500 x 4 daily and only have a dry mouth

I am on epilim and lamotrogne, found out after after a couple of weeks everything has settled down except feeling thirsty all of the time
