Myoclonic jerks

I have suffered with myoclonus for a while now and ive had parkinson's for 41 years too. I usually try and put a funny spin on it when I recount stories of spilling drinks or food over myself i find it helps me cope . Has anyone else got any coping strategies or tips they would be willing to share?

Hi Bionicmatt

I’m sorry you’ve not had any feedback on our HU community. Sharing coping strategies or tips can be a really good idea.

In most case we have found people find it helpful to talk or contact people who understand what they are experiencing. For this reason we have other services to help put people in touch with each other.

You may be interested in our local groups, including coffee & chat groups, Epilepsy Action’s forum4e online community, and we are on facebook and twitter.

If we can be of any more help, please feel free to contact us again, either by email or the Epilepsy Action Helpline freephone 0808 800 5050.

Regards
