Meningioma

Well, MRI results reveal I have a small meningioma floating about in my LTL; definitely the cause of the seizures so now have an appointment with a neurologist next Tuesday; I'm fortunate that I get private health care so hopefully, if they're looking to remove "Frank" it will be soon. Luckily, Frank is just floating about near the surface and isn't in my brain so that's a plus. Hopefully I'll find out next steps on the 12th.

I can't believe it's three weeks today this all started 😳 such a roller coaster of emotions, it's been surreal really. I'm hoping they can get rid of Frank and I can crack on but am well aware I might still be stuck with the seizures. Fingers crossed🤞🏻

Strange to say, but excellent they have found a cause. Yes, possibly you may experience seizures still, but they will be managed. Good luck!!

Hi Beansheen👋🏻

I felt exactly the same, really pleased there's a cause for my recent spate of face surfing on my hallway carpet (humour is my way of dealing with this BTW!) I know there's no guarantees the seizures will stop, as the surgery itself can cause seizures! But hopefully I can look at weaning off then post op🤷🏼‍♀️

Ever the optimist!

Absolutely the best approach! I did the same, still am. Blood clots removed, yeh!! Seizures were side effect but...I’m still here so, a bonus!! Your approach is by far the best. Well done. You will do well!
