Hi I'm kyle can someone give me some advice please I need to work again I just get low depressed overanalysing about my life and comparing it to my friends as I can't do barley anything I have had epilepsy for 25 years at least 1/2 daily I used to have 6 daily easily get effected by nocturnal daytime n flashing lights already been told never be able to drive had all medication in UK they just refused brain surgery cos 30% chance of death as they couldn't pin point got neurologist coming from america to help me (false hope) I also have memory loss so it makes it so hard to study but can't do trade cos can't carry tool dream to be in army no chance was a carer for dissabled job got taken from me (light headed and doublevision) was security(seizure on job) was roofer(to risky so low didn't care) was a coach (heart rate went sky high seizure children panicked) lost confidence in woman a bit just don't think anyone will accept it iv had 3 exes saying sorry kyle can't do this relationship with the epilepsy n left me I need to know what jobs I can do roughly ? (Just need you to consider my epilepsy state memory loss and anxiety problems) without doing work I go very low n feel like I'm nothing n never will like people say u can make it self who n what u want to be .... I can't do army police ambulance service so no I can't be who I want

I know - it's tough! I haven't worked for money since 1997! I've had a VNS since 2000. Have you considered trying one of them? It is a long-term commitment - the longer you have it, the better it can get! In the first five years, it only helped stop/shorten 15% of seizures; now it helps stop/shorten about 75-80%! Try to find something beneficial to do to help others - some sort of voluntary work which you may enjoy.

Thanks for the support mate iv had a vns put in at 8 years old didn't make an effect atall so they dissconected the cord up your neck age 12 May have been better if they gave it more time I would enjoy volentery work with the beneficial side of knowing your helping but what type of volentery work will they accept me to do if you know ?

Hi Kyle, lots of local charities are always looking for help from gardening, handyman or helping in shop or working with people. They are always looking for help. You will find it very uplifting 👍 X SJ

Keep ya chin up buddy, I feel every emotion your feeling at the moment, first seizure September, driving licence taken away September, diagnosed December, meds driving me crazy!! Please use your experience to reach out to others who are feeling your anguish, although your struggling you’ve made me feel not so alone 👍🏽
