Hi Karen,

Without knowing a lot of information could be a few things. I guess the obvious is stressful week combined with a bit of dehydration maybe. I always find I get dehydrated quickly because of my tablets so need to drink more water. Feel free to put some details in a reply and maybe we can help.

Take care

Hi Karen,

When you say pop, may I assume you mean fizzy drink or similar? If so then it's reasonable to say that water is more suitable when taking meds. Also, although juices and fizzy drinks can help with thirst and immediate tiredness they don't actually help overall. You can still be dehydrated, feel adrenaline rush through the day then have trouble resting properly. If you then have a day or two without them, headaches can occur. Of course it is still a fairly general thought about your specific circumstances. What type of Epilepsy do you have, do you see a neurologist or doctor about your headaches at all?

Yes best to reduce the pop and drink water instead. 8 glasses a day are recommended. Save the fizzy drinks for a weekend treat. Tiredness and headaches are common to people with epilepsy but keep talking to your doctor about your symptoms so that he can offer you help

Hi, what medication are you taking? My son had problems for yrs... wicked headaches, tiredness, clumsiness. We now discover it was Tegretol retard - (Carbamazepine that was causing awful side effects. He is now on Lamotrigine ... heaps better for him! Hope you get sorted! When he suffered with the headaches the painkillers did not help, but 2mg Diazepam did.
