why have i got to pay for my prescription

why is it i am in England and on kappra 1000 mg a day but still i am paying for prescription so what help shud i be geting please if anybody can help and tell me please friends thanks

You don't have to. Apply for a Medical Exemption Certificate. Your GP and Consultant should have told you this. nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcos...

You don't have to pay for them, you should be able to get a form from your GP for a medical exemption card which you take with you every time yo go to collect you tablets

Talk to your doctor. Epilepsy is one of the illnesses that allows you to get a Medical Exemption Certificate. You won't have to pay for any prescriptions once you have it, not even for meds that aren't for epilepsy.

Hello I read your post and cannot beleive you are paying for prescriptions thats wrong

U have been on Meds 29yrs and have not had to pay very strange speak to you GP/Consultant they should be able to organise a NHS exemption cert good luck

Yes it all depends where in britain you stay in scotland we get free prescriptions and england do this is the government at its best

You should get free prescriptions no matter what if you are taking epilepsy medication. Please enquire at your chemist or the citizens advice bureau.
