what is the resion for to be mild fluid in pod and around right overy?
what type of fluid was it?
Could be blood from an endo bleed, could be the contents of leaking or burst cysts, could be infection, could be bloat.... if you have fluid and it cannot be accounted for and there is major concern that it looks suspicious the hosp my draw off some of it to check what it is.
I'm not sure than an ovary can have fluid around it, other than when it has had the misfortune to appear to have been swallowed up inside a cyst, otherwise gravity would cause fluid to drop in to the POD. Like a smaller balloon inflated inside a bigger balloon.
If it is inside a cyst, the the fluid is whatever the cyst is made of.
Could be clear, complex or chocolate cysts.
Hi I was told at my first scan there was fluid in my pelvis, maybe a burst cyst or a infection. Had to go back for second scan and all was clear was told some times of the month fluid can be seen but it had gone and its not been mentioned since. So if that's what they saw it may just be absorbed back into your body. If you have a doctors appointment then they should explain results.
Hiya, I have quite a few scans and always told I have free fluid around the ovary and pod but no one has ever done anything no matter how much pain getting quite worried and back in next month to see consultant so I will be asking!! Hope you find out soon x
