I had my diagnostic laparoscopy done on Sunday (4 days ago) and I was told as I was waking up that no endo was found (when I asked the nurse) and that the surgeon would come talk to me. I ended up staying in overnight as I only got out of surgery at 7pm due to delays during the day. I was told the surgeon was doing anouther surgery so wouldn’t be able to see me until the next day. Then the next day I was told that a doctor would come and talk to me before I left but it wouldn’t be the same team that operated on me.
I was feeling really deflated after I was told they didn’t find any endo but as I only had two incisions and was told they would send the surgeon to talk to me I thought maybe they’d found something else. After asking around a lot I finally got to talk to a gynae doctor who was really lovely, she explained that they found nothing and that my uterus, bowels and ovaries all looked healthy. She checked over my notes and explained that because nothing was found and everything was easily accessible that only two incisions were needed. I went on to ask where do I go next because I am still in pain every month and it is only getting worse (on the first day of my period I am rocking back and forward counting through my pain with diahrea every 10/20 mins, let alone everything else that goes on throughout my cycle). Because of this she referred me onto the pain clinic so that they can help give me some better pain management medication.
I’m hoping this helps but at the same time I have so many symptoms and so much pain it can’t just be painfull periods there has to be something wrong. And if it’s not endo what is it? Where do I go from here, I’ve been discharged from gynae?
I just know my next period is gunna be such a mental challenge as I’ll be in so much pain but no reason for it.
