I think this is probably a histamine response involving estrogen. If you've just had the first injection then zokadex works by stimulating everything first so you'll have more estrogen and this may be why you are having a reaction. Also being itchy is a very common peri menopause symptom so it could be that this is how your body experiences chemical menopause. Take an anti histamine and keep an eye on it. If you start to swell or develop a rash then see your GP immediately x

Is the rash separate to the injection site?

I had itching during the 1st 3/4 weeks but that’s subsided and I’ve now had 3 injections.

No, not really, it seemed to itch more at night. So I just used a cold compress and applied some moisturiser.

It lasted for about 3/4 weeks but has since subsided.

Hi lovely, so sorry you're experiencing this. I've had a course of Zoladex for 6 months and had a rash on my arms and legs for the first two months then it settled. It was there but not itchy or painful. At one point I've also had a very dry flaky skin in places. I've not experienced the itchy feeling you mentioned. But a lot of the symptoms did get better for me after the first two doses. Though I would have to say when coming off Zoladex I did get the rash again which was strange.

I really hope your symptoms settle but I think of you start to swell and have other concerning symptoms I would go back to your specialist or GP just to be on the safe side.

Sending hugs and strength your way I know this is not easy x

You're very welcome lovely, I didn't need any creams as the rash by itself wasn't itchy so I was lucky in that sense. It was just a rash. I really hope you are able to get through this and no other symptoms will appear for you x
