I have been diagnosed with endo and adenomyosis through a lap but this has no mention of it
can someone please help me with my mri re... - Endometriosis UK
can someone please help me with my mri report please?
Always go off your lap results and diagnosis.
Before I was diagnosed with very severe endometriosis and adeno all my scans (and some still do) came back normal.
However when I had my first lap my consultant had to stitch me back up and informed me I had Endo and adeno very severely (the worst he’d seen) and he’d need to do much more planning to carry out any future surgeries.
It also takes a specially trained eye to spot Endo on scans and even then it still doesn’t show anywhere near the full extent of the disease.
If you can request a copy of the scan images (it’s free and obtained through hospital legal team) they may come in useful in the future.
Best wishes to you ❤️
hun like the First Lady has mentioned hun always go off your lap results this is because they can see more clearly. I had always had negative scans the only mri I had was after my lap to work out how extensive the endometriosis was which showed this and it actually only showed superficial bowel involvement . If you had a specialist in endo read your mri then that would show it if they are not then they won’t see it . Xx
