I have endometriosis. I also have long-term, severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and am currently going through the menopause. I am experiencing unpleasant menopausal symptoms, which are also worsening the CFS, so I am considering trying HRT.
I am looking for a Menopause Specialist (I think this will have to be private), who specialises in endometriosis . This is important as the prescribing of HRT is different for those with endometriosis.
I am also hypermobile, which can be affected by taking hormones, so I'm also looking for someone who has a good understanding this.
I also have allergies, and complex health issues related to the severe CFS, so the specialist would need a good understanding of my condition, and how it may be affected by taking HRT, which may impact me more than healthy individuals, as I often react to medications.
So, it is vital that I find someone who is knowledgeable and experienced about all of the above, and can help me weigh up all these potentially conflicting needs and work out the best solution for me around taking HRT, and managing the menopause.
I have read different advice about the best kind of specialist I should see – either menopause specialist or consultant. I think the title is less important than their knowledge, and experience. I need to find the right person for my particular needs.
I have no idea how to find this very specialised help that I am looking for – short of contacting every menopause specialist clinic in the country, which is clearly impractical!
I have never posted on a forum before, so do not know what to expect, but if anybody has information they think may be helpful for me, I should be so grateful to receive it.
Thank you so much

It's not permitted to give recommendations for specialists on here but the ESHRE guideline recommendations are above. I'll put the link below to the guideline as there is quite a detailed section on it. The recommendation is continuous combined oestrogen and progesterone which might be in various combinations. Second to that is tibolone.
Unfortunately a lot of those with endo have co-morbidities especially CFS and allergies.
Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to respond, I very much appreciate it.
Thank you also for the link to the ESHRE guidelines, this was very interesting.
I did not know it was not permitted to give recommendations for specialists on this forum. Do you know if there are any forums, or individuals I could contact who may be able to give recommendations for what I'm looking for? I really have no idea how to find the right specialist for my particular needs. I am very limited in what research I can do, as my ill health affects me so much, and I have no one to help me.
