Dealing with new diagnosis & fatigue

I was diagnosed last week with endo following a cyst bursting and a scan showing lots more cysts. I have had lots of symptoms for many years but this was always put down to stomach issues so endo has come as a big shock!

One of my main problems is extreme fatigue and I could really do with some advice to help to manage this better as it feels like its getting worse.

Thank you

Have you started to keep a symptom diary? This will help you to see any patterns and enable you to avoid some things, possibly. It’s not easy.Have you seen gynae about what to do next?

Hi no i havent yet but its a good idea so i should ive just felt so dazed and out of it since diagnosis to think straight. I am waiting for surgery but the wait list is long. I didnt speak to them about fatigue as i was overwhelmed during the appointment and forgot if im honest but i will! Im waiting for my gp to return off holiday for their advice too

It’s well worth keeping a list, any symptoms, etc.It is overwhelming, you aren’t alone on any of this. Add any questions you think of as well, it’s hard to keep remembering.

If you haven’t had a blood test ask your GP for one check on and include iron, B12, Vit D, magnesium. They may try and ignore, mine huffed when I asked for vit D 😂, yet called straight away when it came back very low. They are more on the ball about it these days.

Hi,Getting more sleep than the average person helps I found. I take 1000mg Vit C, Zinc and Vit D3. The Fennel Tea helps too but I don't like the taste! As I got so stressed and depressed my friend said go for some Healing it does work. I thought it was pointless, probably rubbish, I even laughed! Finally I went to a Healer and had Reflexology as well. It helped me relax. There are church's that do this free, just give contribution.

Since then I did a Course and learnt to do it to myself. It certainly helps with the pain at night so I can return to sleeping.
