Advice please 😊

Hi,

I’m 21 years old and have been suffering with severe pain around my right ovary/stomach/back for some time now. I get pain during/after sex and also used to bleed after, almost every time. I haven’t been diagnosed with endometriosis but strongly suspect that it could be this.

I am on the mini-pill (POP) and have been for about a year and a half now

I was referred to a gynaecologist who said it was probably ‘normal pain’ however it is so severe for a few days that I can’t even walk. This severe pain does however only come every 7-11 weeks but I do get aches and pains (sometimes dull, sometimes stabbing) most days in my lower right back or ovary. I have also found that I have been far more fatigued since these symptoms started . My pain also tends to start in my abdomen and work it’s way down to my right ovary- at the time they thought it was my appendix but this wasn’t the case. I have had ultrasounds but have been told these show nothing abnormal.

Could this be endometriosis or does it sound like it may not be? I’m very confused about it all and it is all very overwhelming for me so would appreciate any help/advice, thank you 😊

It does sound the same as my pains used to be. I had endo excised in Sept on the peritoneal wall and now the pain has gone. It took years for the drs to listen as previously had a hysterectomy and was told all endo was removed then but this right sided pain carried on. It was so tiring to keep fighting but eventually they listened and agreed to the lap. I was so relieved when it was found and removed. Keep fighting as you know your body and what’s not right. Thank you so much! That’s exactly what I thought and I just feel like the doctors palm it off as it being ‘normal’ when I know it isn’t. I will definitely keep fighting. So glad they finally listened to you x
