Just in need of a bit of advice really. As soon of you may know, my symptoms in the past have been mainly centred around pain , bleeding , aching etc & I always know how to deal with these flare ups as best I can. However , the past week I’ve had a bad flare up and have experienced diarrhoea with this . Sorry if that’s TMI. Whilst I know this can be a common symptom , it’s one I’ve never experienced . I first thought I’d picked up a bug , but it’s not been continuous like a bug and some days I’ve been fine eating whatever etc .
I was just wondering if anybody else had a similar experience & if so if you could offer any advice e.g best foods to eat going forward , how to deal with the pain etc.
Thankyou as always ,

This has been an issue for me for years and it all kicked off big time mid 2017. I thought it was a reaction to some antibiotics I'd been on but actually it was a massive endometriosis flare (I wasn't diagnosed at the time). So I stopped A1 caesin dairy (cow's milk) about 19years ago which helped a lot but sometimes it would still happen at random. In 2017 I had to come off gluten as well. If you are eating these it might be worth excluding them to see if it improves for you. Buscopan cramp tablets are really helpful for this and I have another antispasmodic on prescription called spasmanol forte but I'd try the buscopan first as you can even buy it over the counter and it's pretty fast acting. You can take it alongside your pain meds.
Hi Lucy. I was told by a gynae at a London hospital that 50%of women suffering with endo will also have associated IBS. As my tummy was reacting badly to food (diarrhoea, tummy burning pains, emptying myself several times throughout the day) I put myself on an exclusion diet, i. E, free of:gluten, dairy, soya (soya is a disaster), chocolate (now vegan chocolate), caffeine (drcaf coffee), brown rice, due to cystitis no tomato purée, no hot spices. A bit tough sometimes, but in return less bloating, less pain, much less loo disasters! I also supplement with magnesium glycenate, Vit D, B12, iron. My diet is incorporated into the family diet so that I don't feel pushed apart. When going out, there's always rice, potatoes. I have kept meat, although reduced it and there are quite a lot of gluten free food and different types of milk. You need to experiment and see what works for you. Take care. 😊
