Any advice would be helpful

Hi, I understand getting a diagnosis of endometriosis is long. In 2018 I had severe lower abdominal pain. I had ultrasound, internal tests with garnecologyst and smear. Nothing showed other than free fluid on my pelvis. The symptoms disappeared. However in September 2019 I had stomach pain throughout the day and ended up unbearable to the point I was taken to A&E. I had xrays and a CT scan which again showed nothing other than free fluid on my pelvis. They ruled out all other possibilities such as appendicitis etc. My hospital stay was long and traumatic having had 2 allergic reactions to morphine. They suggested doing a laparoscopy in hospital but never did, I have been back and forth to my doctors and a recent smear, blood tests all came back ok. My symptoms subsided and seemed to disappear again after a while. I am currently on the implant which means my periods are irregular and heavy. Last night I got the pain again in my lower abdomen and is very tender and painful when pressed on. I am going to see the gp again today. Just at my wits end really as to not having a diagnosis of anything. I have read about endometriosis as one of the consultants did suggest this to me but with my periods being so irregular it is hard to tell if my symptoms are happening when my period is due. Has anyone else had these symptoms before? Looking for any advice on where to go next.

Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. They can only diagnose endometriosis from a laparoscopy so it might be worth asking for a referral. They usually like to rule out PCOS and cysts first but as you’ve had a scan your GP should be able to rule this out and make a referral to the specialist unit. I have it in my bowel which causes IBS, bladder and sciatic pain as well so it can cause other issues. For me it’s really painful the week before my period,l and during but in-between it tends to ease off. Wish you luck ☺️
