Zoladex headache

Has anyone suffered really bad headaches due to zoladex? It’s been constant for nearly 2 weeks now and it is at the point where I’m struggling with daily activities and getting out of bed

I am having the same and starting to ruin my life. Zoladex is helping with endo but headaches are so bad and getting more frequent. Due zoladex this Wednesday again (4th one) and dreading . But if I don’t go for that then endo pain might come back with a vengeance. Getting depressed.

It’s so awful isn’t it! I had zoladex last year for 3 month and had no issues but this time round it’s horrible. Is there anything you’ve found helps ease the headaches? x

Just take neurofen double dose and paracetamol and a lie-doesn’t do much though most times. Allergic to codeine and zombie like with tramadol. Hoping to see GP .

Yes I had to stop zoladex as it gave me migraines pretty much every week! Although I think that was also the HRT. Are you on add back HRT?

I am on Tibolone as well. Stopped tibolone to see if it makes any difference but not. So I guess it’s zoladex

Hi, zoladex was great for me..helped my pain..after 4 months I started getting aches and pains, the headaches ..gradually these worsened to chronic Lower back pain, migraines and insomnia. I spoke to my nurse who injected me, she asked me to speak to the consultant about prostap. It's injected into arm or bum cheek. It's the same thing different brand etc. She said it's much less painful and less symptoms.

I went on prostap and my pains and aches disappeared! It's fabulous for me. Although I'd recommend getting injected in the bum cheek.my arm ached fora week after my first and second one.

Goodluck

Hi Angeleyes2u

Interested in your reply. I’ve been on Zoladex now for 5 months. I have a date for a hysterectomy on the 17th April. I’m really struggling with the joint pain. It like chronic arthritis in my hands, wrists, hips, knees and feet. I will possibly have two injections before my operation. Do you think it is worth trying to change to prostap now? Or riding it out? It eases as the day goes on but in the mornings I’m struggling to walk or hold anything. Xx

I had this, every tiny bone hurt a lot. I needed up going to see my dr who wrote to my consultant and I was put on the urgent list for a hysterectomy and didn’t have anymore injections.
