I'm a 19 year old female residing in the U.S, and currently in my sophomore year of college. Over the past 10 months or so I've been struggling with constant pain- in my bladder, back, ribs, urethra, etc. I've looked into Endometriosis and found many similar symptoms. Could someone tell me what their regular symptoms are, how they affect your daily life, and as well as how long did it take to finally be diagnosed and the steps you took to get there? Asking for a friend.
Thank you.

Hey, I’m 19 as well and going for my first laparoscopy in a week.
My symptoms are painful heavy periods, painful sex, pain after sex, constant nausea, constipation, constant dull heavy ache in my uterus/ovaries, painful ovulation, pain when my bladder is full and pain after I’ve been for a wee, lower back pain, tiredness and pain a week before my period starts.
My period and ovulation affect my daily life but I can tolerate the constant dull ache as I’ve had it that long.
I’m from the U.K. so it may be slightly different but I have had to wait a year for surgery on the NHS as I can’t afford private healthcare. Make sure you see a gynaecologist who is an endometriosis specialist as they are more understanding and take you more seriously most of the time.
If you ever need someone to talk to or need help, just PM me xxx
I can relate to all those symptoms and I'm sorry to hear you're going through the same pain but it's also nice to hear that I am not alone in this, I hope you feel the same too. It's such a crappy age to have so much pain, these are supposed to be our prime years-but that's life right? I'd love to hear your story so please keep me updated. Feel free to PM as well- we already share one big thing in common.
Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to hear you are going through constant pain.
Many of the women on this forum have many different symptoms - Endometriosis UK (the charity) have some information regarding possible symptoms and treatment which you may find helpful. Bear in mind that getting diagnosed in the UK is different to the US so just ignore the UK specific details.
Hiya, I have used the doctors for years to try and get to the bottom of my pain and I have had the same response. The only thing that seems to be working for me so far is acupunture. Early days but I have been pain free for 4 weeks so far! And I haven't had that for years!
