Hi Fiona,

Not at all!! I was so relieved when I finally got told what was wrong. I had been told I had IBS, just painful periods and couldn't find a reason for all my anxiety and other symptoms I was experiencing. I've been struggling to cope with the diagnosis (I was diagnosed in April) and really been hurting but I will always stand by the relief at knowing, finally what was wrong!!

Never forget, no one knows your body better than you so stick to your guns!! Push for an answer and don't give up. Whatever the results, you aren't alone and we're all here for each other.

Us girls gotta stick together!! :) if you ever need someone to speak to, please just message.

Chin up and good luck!

Hannah xx

I am in the same boat, I asked a question on here recently that you might find useful reading. I got quite a few helpful replies. I have booked a lap for September, but I am so worried I am going to go through all of that for nothing. But I need to know so finally got brave enough to just do it. You will regret it more if something is going on and you leave it to get worse. Although, any form of surgery, including diagnostic laparoscopy should not be a decision taken lightly. It is a very common and simply surgery, recovery times are good and not massive risks of complications... but if you don't have the right person they may miss the endo. You may be sent home with no diagnosis even if you do have it so make sure you get that right and do your research. Also, at the end of the day it is an invasive procedure and you should really consider your symptoms, how much you will benefit personally from a diagnosis, how if will affect your life if you have it, or even if you don't. You should be really sure before you decide to have anything like that. I really hope you get an answer either way xxx

Hello Fiona,

It is not a bad thing for worrying about getting back test results. Getting them back could definitely help. I can understand that pain of going doctor to doctor getting told nothing was wrong with your body. For me it was anxiety after a surgery telling making me think I couldn’t eat. I lost about 40 or more pounds in a year because of it. I do very much believe something can be wrong especially if it has been years. But anxiety can also make you much more sensitive than others to your bodies functions. I hope you get the results soon and I hope they help you feel relieved.
