Endometriosis and folic acid deficiency

Hi all, I'm new here, I was first diagnosed with Endometriosis back in 2010 during a laparoscopy to remove an ovarian cyst. Since then I've been relatively lucky with my symptoms, partly due to being on the pill all this time. At times periods can become painful and bowel movements too etc, pelvic pain is my main symptom.

Anyway, for the past 4 months I've had constant stomach bloating, I've been to the doctors and had two blood tests and stool samples taken. Thankfully everything came back clear, apart from a folic acid deficiency. I just wondered if anyone else here has folic acid deficiency linked with their endo? My periods are not particularly heavy due to being on the pill, so I'm just a bit confused.

Due to have an ultrasound in the next couple of weeks to check for cysts.
