I just found you, I belong to other parts of this site for other conditions. But the pain in my tummy has got me thinking.
Four years ago I had the complete op, womb, ovaries, cervix all gone. The surgeon also spent 4 hours removing endometriosis tissue from the rest of my tummy area. (She did the same endometriosis removal 12 months prior - again taking about 4 hours) and I was put on HRT.
My question is I have developed a tummy pain which feels as if I am on my period. I suffer from IBS and have had a tummy upset for 2 weeks, nothing seems to be stopping the pain and nausea. Can I still be suffering from endometriosis? Has it returned because of my HRT? Or am I just being foolish? I am going back to GP tomorrow, and if people think that a return is possible, I will raise the issue.
Many thanks for your experience.

Hi there, when I had my laparoscopy and removal of endometriosis, I was advised it can come back. So there is a possibility that some has returned. I hope you get some answers
I had a return of the endometriosis following my first surgery and they took it out again a year later with the total op. But have been on HRT since and as I say I wonder if it has slowly built up again.
Following hysterectomy and ovary removal I was put on HRT and endo came back so had further surgery and it came back again. So yes it can. It needs to all be gone and ive now been advised to come off HRT as seems it's helping it regrow. And that's happened on ostregon only or combined HRT for me.
