Endo on uterosacral ligaments and pregnancy

I was dx a few years ago with endo on my uterosacral ligaments. There is one spot on each of the ligaments, I have them cauterized twice now and still have pain.

My husband and I are trying to decide if we want to try and get pregnant, I am terrified that my pain will get really bad because of where the lesions are. Any one have any experience with endo on their ligaments and a pregnancy?

  • Hi - endo on the uterosacral ligaments is rectovaginal endo and will often involve deeper endo that can't be seen at a lap. There is no way of knowing how this might affect a pregnancy without knowing the full extent of your endo now. It could be that your uterus is glued to your bowel which could potentially cause pain in pregnancy. I would advise that you seek referral to a specialist centre for a review and treatment of your endo because appropriate surgical treatment is likely to increase your chances of conceiving.
