Hi please can someone help?

I would like to know how you go about a diagnosis for endo?

I have pollosistic ovaries diagnosed at aged 17.... I've been regular as clockwork after my 3 kids but after my twins 3years ago I've had no periods and lots of cramps after sex and just lately I probably get one day a week off from pain in my womb ovary area.. I know this isn't normal.. Any insight will help. Xx

Getting your doctor to agree there is a problem is the first step. Then the doctor won't suggest endo, but fob you off to other doctors to have other tests done. Including the gastroenterologist, the obgyn, more family doctors, and possible a psychiatrist. When you go back to your doctor, then he/she says ok, let's open you up to see the source of your "pain".

If you suspect endo, then you actually stand a better chance of getting a diagnostic lap done. Here is where I learned the hard way. Make sure they get biopsy samples from EVERYWHERE, even if they don't see any endo. Those suckers can be too small to see with the naked eye, and then they say...sorry hun, we can't find any reason for your pain. And remember, the size of the spots do not equal the size of the pain. It all depends on location and tolerance of inflammation and irritation inside your body.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis hyperplasia 3 years ago and after having my son, I've had tons of problems. You will need to have your doctor order tests to test for that. They can do a vaginal and a abdominal ultrasound but going in laparoscopy is the best to get diagnosed with endometriosis. I hope you get better, but having endometriosis will be with you the rest of your life and several surgeries could help but as for now, there's no absolute cure. Trying a hysterectomy would help but I've known women that still had issues having a hysterectomy done.
