Hi gowri,ive had this.i too have very irregular periods and pcos.i was going for months with no period but often when my partner and I had sex I would have spotting of thick,stringy old blood which would sometimes go on for a few days afterwards and really get me down.i was really worried and went to the docs and was told it was because my hormone levels were all over the place.im under gynae now because we re trying for a baby and ive been put on metformin and touch wood it hasnt happened since then.xx
