What were you diagnosed with?

To be diagnosed with endometriosis - that can only be done by having a laparoscopy surgery or some other pelvic surgery.

Until the endo is actually seen and mapped out - you are only suspected of having endo.

You may only have an endometrioma (blood filled cyst) and not have any endometriosis.

A scan will diagnose a cyst, but there are several types, and they may not impact one bit on your fertility prospects. Depend what they are and where they are and what they have stuck to.

also if they do find endo at the time of your operation again as endo can grow on any organs or tissues - it depends where it is growing and what damage it has done.

Might be a tiny patch on an appendix and nothing else, could on the other hand be scattered allover the place and still not blocking the ovaries or the tubes.

It really is an absolutely impossible question for any of us to answer.

Pain in the bladder can be caused by endo, or any number of other issues - even simply having a cyst pressing down on it, and once the cyst is drained or removd that might be all that is needed to ease the bladder pain.

Or you may have an infection or scar tissue adhesions. It's really something that must wait till after the operation and you surgeon can let you know what was found and where, and what was done about it.

you could ask the surgeon to check your tubes are clear while you are having the op, they squirt dye along the fallopian tubes to make sure that the pathway is still clear for eggs to get through. Quite a simple process.

even if for some reason the side with the cyst is in a serious way, and you forfeit the ovary, there is no reason why the otherside might not still be in perfect working order.

It is a really random disease, can grow anywhere. Each of us is an entirely unique patient in terms of where the endo is growing.

Someone can be stage 4 endo - all over the place and deeply infiltrating other organs but still have clear tubes and ovaries and still be quite able tohave a natural pregnancy.
