Hello everyone,Our daughter who 22 yo - post auto immune encephalitis was put on Risperidone to help calm her down as she was quite hyperactive, impulsive, etc. since last week she's been moved to ziprasidone as she commented to me that Risperidone dulled her and made her feel unlike herself. The psychiatrist recommended trying this but has admitted to not knowing actually what will work and what won't. Has anyone taken this drug and how have you felt?

She has only been taking it for 4 days but is super tired through the day. Taking 2x naps but then by the evening she's annoying, attention seeking, causing outbursts etc. I wonder if this is an adverse effect. I also wonder whether she should be on any drugs at all!

Her scarring is frontal lobe so the behavioural issues are what we're working on.

Thanks guys 🌷

Hi,

I hope you have some replies from the community on this, but from our perspective, the safest guidance that we can provide is to report these changes to the Physician that prescribed the new drug to your daughter.

They will have a network of professional colleagues that they can consult with.
