Hi, im posting on behalf of my mum who had Encephalitis 2 and half years ago.

She had the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine over 4 weeks ago and she says she still doesn't feel too well since she had the jab. She's intouch with the Doc. So shes ok and im looking out for her.

Her main symptoms are muzzy head, fatigue, strange tastes and feeling cold.

My question is does anyone know of any one whos had Encephalitis and had the 'Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine' and who are still having side effects weeks later from the time they had there 1st jab?

Hi

I had my jab Sunday and don't feel great, I caught covid on boxing day and was off for 6 weeks, I've just called in sick to work as I'm just so tired and not feeling great, it's made my fatigue and headaches worse, emotionally I'm a wreck at the minute as I just wish my brain was like it was before, I'm so sick of feeling tired and brain fog n headaches, and I just think the jab has made the fatigue worse, I hope your mum feels better soon x

Thank you for your reply. I feel for you and those who are experiencing difficult times due to Encephalitis' especially during covid. I do hope you get through the worst of it very soon. My mum is alot better than she felt 4weeks ago. She just has her days when she's not feeling herself like b4 she had her Jab. I think the jab has a knock on effect with Encephalitis maybe. Hope you feel some better soon. Take care xxx

My wife had a serious HSV has serious cognitive & memory problems never worried us to have the AZ vaccine 6 weeks now, she never had any sides not even sore are

Probably not a helpful comment, but I had auto immune encephalitis, prior to any worries reported about the AZ vaccine and my only side effects were a sore arm and bit of a headache the next day.. glad she’s in touch with the doctor and hope she feels better soon!

Hi RO551,

I had HSV Encephalitis way back in 1970's just after my first birthday.

I'm over 40 odd years post E. I used to have grand mals as a very young child but none since I became an adolescent and I'm into my forties now.

BUT.. I have had paranoia, OCD, anxiety, panic attacks and I always had a slow processing speed. Problems with conversation like helping up with several people at once or people who talk fast, and keeping track of conversation.

I had the Astra Zeneca jab, I was shivering all day and then in the middle of the night I was vomitting so after that I felt bloated and I was SO lethargic (plus I had a bad headache with it).

It has been years since I had felt THAT poorly but after three days I started eating little by little and then after ten days I felt much better so then I just started to get my energy back again .

Hope your Mum feels better soon. I'm rooting for her.
