Tension

I have had viral encephalitis for over 1 year now, and the biggest issue I have at the moment is tension in my head and neck. I was taking Xanax and Clonazepam for a while, with mixed results. The Xanax did not always help, and the Clonazepam made me drowsy beyond belief. I slowly tapered off of both of these drugs, since they are Benzos and highly addictive. I took one or the other for approximately 7 months. Now that I have stopped, I am struggling with heavy tension and what seems like nerve pain.

I meditate and exercise, but there are times when the tension is so bad I can hardly stand it.

Appreciate any input on this, and good luck to all.

Cesar

I find manual therapies such as massage, Rolfing, craniosacral techniques to be helpful.

Hi Cesar68, I just started shiatsu massage with acupuncture. I have only had one session, so will have to report back after a few more visits, but I do fancy that I have less 'nerve happenings' after the treatment 😄
