After last time again of being told not to drive and to again inform dvla licence been re issued again again albeit a 3 year medical review dvla official stand is you may or may not have epilepsy but just incase . Can reapply for other intitlements 10 years time providing no symptoms and no medication

Best is I have not been diagnosed with epilepsy or anything

Well done for actually getting your official driving licence!! I’m still waiting for mine after 6 months! Having done everything I needed to for the eye issue. (that still involved a further three calls to DVLA) I then got another letter to yet again complete a form about the seizures I had over the 12 hour period over 4 years ago. I can understand they have to be careful though. And luckily my consultant and the optician have confirmed I can drive in the meantime.

Once I finally get my letter I’m going for a drive to celebrate!!!! Onwards and upwards.

enjoy your drive it’s an amazing feeling getting to drive again I was told not to drive on two occasions first was obviously correct but the second time was due to a communication error on a phone call with my neurologist, took me five months to get it back after various tests. Happy driving

That was tough! Glad you’ve got your license back though. I know for me mentally being able to drive makes such a difference.

it’s independence being able to go when and where you want at anytime makes a massive impact to your mental well-being

Absolutely. So agree. I totally underestimated and under appreciated this pre E.
