Domperidone side effects?

I took Domperidone for nausea associated with my chronic migraine and gastric problems. I found it really useful and it seemed to work quickly. It helped with bloating. I didn't notice any side effects but I wasn't using it all the time. Just when things were at their worst. I was depressed anyway so wouldn't have noticed. The GP stopped giving it me as he said it caused heart problems. I was quite upset as now I have nothing. It's brand name is Motilium so I suppose you can buy it over the counter but don't know if it is as good. You could only try it and see if it helps. You may not experience any side effects. Not eating sounds grim anyway.
Thanks, tats really helped to hear that, I got prescribed it at the hospital, just got really freaked out when I googled it and got all this stuff about it being banned in America lol.
Maybe why that's why GP won't give it me now although it's still available. I keep getting it recommended when I go to hospital. I think in short term would be worth trying and see if you get any side effects you may get no-one and a lot to gain. I get terrible nausea and it seemed to help with that quickly
