Mattress advice

Hi aliD47
Same question came up a couple of years ago:
healthunlocked.com/edsuk/po...
The best mattress I ever slept on was a tempur one.
Be good to see any additional thoughts too as I am considering a new one, I had to remove memory foam topper couple of years ago just way too soft, I felt like the top of my pelvis was curving into the bottom of my ribs.
Tempur is full memory foam right?
Not that I am selling mattresses but here is the specifications for Tempur:
mattresses are a very personal thing. What will suit you will depend on your weight amongst other things, as well as what you are used to. My son and I sleep on a western style futon, and he has never known anything else. he once slept on the guest bed which was a brand new Ikea mattress, memory foam type, and he didn't like it.
See if there is a proper bed shop that you can go to and get advice. Take a book and your favourite pillow and actually try the mattress out not just for a few minutes, but lay there for 10-15 and get a real feel for it.
Go for something with resistance to microbes and put on a waterproof protector. Best wishes finding a good one. I ended up with 2nd top of the range Sleep maker. The latex is built into filling as opposed to a topper which was less comfortable.
The pillow too is important. I had to try out about 3 and the one I could only use without it giving me pain was £100.
My mattress and bottom was £1500 but well worth it. It is pocket sprung mixed with latex on top and it is soft. I love it. Remember you have to turn them diligently to begin otherwise sagging occurs. They are very heavy so get someone else to do it for you as it will hurt.
Best of luck to you!
Got to say i had trouble with my sprung one about 2 years ago, was giving me neck pain and sciatica and in end last xmas when the sale were on i went to bed shop and treated myself to a soft tempur! Best thing i ever done!
I now wake up not hurting and sciatica went straight away and i sleep all night!!!
It a miracle for me coz i used to get about 3-4 hours without waking in pain.
They do loadsa cheaper versions now not just tempur even the shop i got it from ( dreams ) do there own versions now and argo and my friend got the ikea one and that is exactly same as mine as i have tried it
I have Classical EDS. After trying a softer Laura Ashley memory foam mattress, I bought the firm Temperpedic mattress that the salesman said “nobody buys the firm one”. I am truly happy and my friends love it too.
I tried homylink mattress
It's a spring mattress,
I like this matters ! It is very comfortable , ny back problems have gone... I am happy with it.
