Hello,

I have been having gum problems which could be EDS related or something else connected with Hypermobility disorders. Just wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a dentist or dental practice which has knowledge of EDS?

Thanks!

I recommend joining this facebook group and posting your question there: facebook.com/groups/1451508...

There are many people who are not comfortable with being on facebook, and HealthUnlocked is one alternative. But if you need this sort of information, you cannot beat the knowledge which their 6000+ members can provide.

I am diagnosed with these primaries: infant onset systemic lupus + hEDS + very early onset Antibody Deficiency Disease...+ lots of secondary conditions.

My new practice in Cambridge is brilliant: all the team are advanced practitioners with more experience of my immune dysfunction + connective tissue disorder comorbidities and complexities than any practice i’ve attended in my 65 years....and i think some of them work in the London area too:

devonshirehousedental.co.uk

Saying that, my childhood dentist remarked i had early onset gum recession which of course is relevant to my hEDS status

Good luck...hope you’ll let us know how you get on

I have discovered a potentially good dentist and will update with my feedback if it's a successful appointment!

Where are you based? My daughter is seeing a great dentist in Worthing ‘Strand Dental Care’ - he was fully aware of EDS and has been a great help.

Hi, I saw that your daughter sees a dentist at Worthing Strand dental care. My daughter also has EDS & we are looking for someone who understands this along with issues connected with it like receding gums - are you still happy with them & which dentist does she see? Thanks
