Hi all, is it possible when posting that you can state your location? It makes responding easier. I live in the UK and I am acutely aware that things ae very different say between the UK and the US for example

You are so right. It is difficult sometimes to understand the differences per country. I am in the US. Lots of time I have encountered posts where I answer thinking the person writing should just go to their doctor or their kidney specialist and talk to them. Or advise why not just get another test, or scan, etc. Only to get a response they are trying to but they need a certain egfr to see a specialist, or they are waiting for an appointment with a GP. And then there is the added difficulty sometimes in understanding test results people report. The unit of measure on blood and urine tests are different. For example serum creatinine here is reported as mg/dl, while in other countries umol/l. Some people just post a number without giving the unit of measure. For example they will just say my level was 115. Well that makes such a difference between our countries. 115 what? At least by giving their location (country) it would help a lot.

So true!

I am in the USA and one thing I can tell you for sure is that there is much better education information in the UK, Australia and Canada for kidney disease than in the US.
