It seems like each state differs slightly in who is prioritised for the vaccine. My understanding is that frontline workers are first (and who that is varies), and elderly people in care homes. Then it gets a bit muddled; I've heard over-75's plus those with at risk health conditions. That would include anyone with CKD, I would think,as people with covid are seeing organ damage. I've also heard over 65's plus people with underlying conditions are next. Vaccinations are far behind the schedule we first heard, so there's plenty of time to get it sorted. I 'm planning to contact my doctor at some point to ask directly

Mgt8 has kindly provided a link to the list of priority. CKD in itself would place you 6th in line. I would imagine you would have a VERY long wait.If you have other complications and have received an official CEV (clinically extremely vulnerable) letter direct from the government, then you will be 4th on the list.

These 2 positions should mean a BIG difference in waiting times because those 6th on the list are lumped together with a hell of a lot of other people with many different conditions included.

What I did, and I suggest you do the same, is to call your PCP and get your name on the list for vaccination. My PCP and his clinic have a running list of those that should get the vaccine ahead of the general public. I was told I was in group 1b.Take care and best of luck!

It depends on where you live. In my state (OK), I qualify in the group behind long-term care residents and health care workers (Phase 1). I'm with the 65+, other essential workers and adults of any age with co-morbidities including CKD (me!) which is Phase 2. However, distribution has been uneven and although we are supposedly into Phase 2 in vaccine distribution as of 2 weeks ago, I have not gotten the email from our state registry that I qualify for an appointment. It's a mess.
